Garda is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
Three Day Weather for Garda
A weak ridge of high pressure will bring us a rather nice day in the middle of this long-lasting period of bad weather. It will be clear to cloudy. With the air washed clean by the percipition of the last day, the sun will be even more intense and ensure temperatures rise to pleasant values.
During the following days, we should lower our expectations of the weather. More humid, cold air masses will move into Central Europe.
