Garda is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
Three Day Weather for Garda
After a few days of low pressure, a look at the barometer will tell us that the air pressure is rising now which means that a high pressure area is building over Central Europe! We will see a calm start to the day with patches of fog and low stratus, a common feature of winter weather!
The weather over the next few days will be influenced by high pressure and a warm southeasterly air flow accompanied by foehn winds.
