Garda is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
Three Day Weather for Garda
Today Friday, the summer 2014 pulls out once again all the stops to offer us great summer weather: it will be very sunny with occasional thunderstorms in the afternoon and the evening, but these are, after all, a part of classic summer weather.
On Saturday this strong area of high pressure will slowly drift eastwards. With a southerly flow bringing more humid air from the Mediterranean, the weather will become sultrier, with the risk of thunderstorms during the second half of the day also increasing.
