Garda is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
Three Day Weather for Garda
High pressure is falling now and the deep area of low pressure over the North Atlantic will extend to Central Europe. However, low pressure does not necessarily mean bad weather, especially here in the Alpine region. Foehn winds will pick up and be able to keep away any precipitation. They will even bring us occasional sunny spells.
The foehn winds will cease on Wednesday! Temperatures will drop by 3 degrees at all altitudes! It will mostly be cloudy with precipitation.
