The weather patterns on Lake Garda can vary quite dramatically from one end of the lake to the other. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
These weather predictions are for Garda Town, which is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south.
The cold front that arrived here yesterday is moving away now, but at a snails pace! Therefore, clouds will only clear slowly in the morning and it is not before midday that the sun will gain the upper hand.
On Wednesday, a ridge of high pressure will dominate our weather; it will be bright and warm. Then, a low will follow on Thursday bringing quite a few showers and thunderstorms. On Friday, sunny and warm weather will return!
