The weather patterns on Lake Garda can vary quite dramatically from one end of the lake to the other. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
These weather predictions are for Garda Town, which is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south.
Today, small pressure differences will determine the weather scene, which means that the air will become stationary and that neither high nor low pressure will be dominant. Our weather will therefore be neither fish nor fowl: longer sunny spells and cloudy periods will alternate. There may also be occasional thunderstorms.
Until Saturday, we will only see little change.
