Garda is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
Three Day Weather for Garda
The well-known but not really popular Icelandic low has left its place out on the Atlantic and is now situated over the North and Baltic Sea. Such a strong low so close to the Alps means quite unsettled weather for our region, too. We will see a changing and often heavy cloud cover with occasional, light showers.
Apart from a few sunny spells, we will still see heavy cloud and occasional precipitation on Saturday. From Sunday, the weather will become sunnier.
