Garda is situated in a relatively sheltered position in a bay to the south-east of Lake Garda. The arm of Punta San Vigilio provides some protection to the north while the rocky outcrop of the Rocca di Garda stands sentry over the resort to the south. The southern end of the lake does not tend to be as affected by the strong lake winds in morning and afternoon as the lake resorts in the north.
Please note that the figures to the right are monthly averages and that weather can obviously be hotter (or colder) in any given period or day. Our more immediate weather forecast below should give a more accurate picture of forthcoming conditions.
Three Day Weather for Garda
An area of high pressure is situated over Central Europe and the Alps and will bring us perfect weather for swimming and hiking. From early morning until late evening it will be practically cloudless.
Thursday will only bring small changes. On Friday the sky will be partly clear, partly cloudy. During the second half of the day the risk of thunderstorms will be high.
